Privacy policy

Last updated 25 October 2026

Unmuffle does not collect, store or share any personal data. Everything you enter stays on your iPhone, in the app's own storage. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics and no tracking.

The decibel meter uses the microphone only to measure how loud it is around you, while that screen is open. Sound is processed on your iPhone in real time and is never recorded, saved or sent anywhere.

Deleting the app deletes all of its data. If your iPhone backs up to iCloud, your entries are part of that backup, which Apple protects under its own privacy policy.

If this ever changes, for example if the app starts showing ads, this page will be updated before the new version is released, and the App Store listing will say which data is used.
