Questions, bugs or ideas: email haider.m21056@gmail.com. I read every message and usually reply within two days.
Ice Gauge gives estimates, not measurements. Ice is never uniformly safe: always drill and check, and follow your local authority's guidance.
Privacy policy

Ice Gauge does not collect, store or share any personal data. Everything you enter stays on your iPhone, in the app's own storage. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics and no tracking.
Ice Gauge does not collect any personal data: there is no account, no analytics and no advertising, and your lakes and auger readings are stored only on your device. To estimate ice growth, the app sends the coordinates of the lakes you add, rounded to about 1 km, directly to Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com), a third-party weather service, to retrieve daily air temperatures; no other information is included, and the developer never receives these requests. If you allow location access, your position is used only on your device to centre the map and is never stored or shared. Weather data is provided by Open-Meteo under the CC BY 4.0 licence.
Deleting the app deletes all of its data. If your iPhone backs up to iCloud, your entries are part of that backup, which Apple protects under its own privacy policy.
If this ever changes, for example if the app starts showing ads, this page will be updated before the new version is released, and the App Store listing will say which data is used.
